Comments on map:
Recorded from facsimile published by Harry Margary, 1973, with introduction by J.B. Harley and J.C. Harvey, according to which the survey of this part of the county was by Joseph Hodskinson, but that the Sheffield plan was partly surveyed by William Fairbank (a Quaker: this might explain why non-Anglican churches seem to be well recorded). Inset on Jeffreys' 1:63,360 map of Yorkshire. Scale measured as 1.78 ins to 600 ft, 1:4045: 1:3960 may be intended.
