Comments on map:
A 1:253,440 county map, derived from the usual Bartholomew 'Imperial Atlas' plates, with two town plans. In the usual W.H. Smith get-up, but this time the emphasis is on the county rather than on the town(s). Presumably a first issue of 1894, as this title is omitted from the usual inside-cover publicity, and the quarter-inch county map shows the [Weedon]-Daventry-Leamington Hastings railway as under construction [completed 1895]. An oddity is that the Warwick map dosen't quite reach to the railway station, and there is no indication of any road leading to it.
