According to TNA [PRO] list, was engraved for Hutton's History of Birmingham. Scale measured as 4.55 inches to 1 mile: this could be intended as 1 inch to 17.5 chains, 1:13,860. TNA [PRO] dates it c.1850, but it shows the railway to Oxford (1852) and Stour Valley line (1854), but only a blank where New Street station (1854) ought to be; it also shows the 'viaduct' line complete. Engraved on steel. Occasional use of long 's'.
