Comments on map:
Inset on 'A new plan of the vicinity of Worthing and plan of the town by E. Redman.' Early and unimpressive litho: the 1:63,360 vicinity map is presumably cribbed from Yeakell, Gream or Ordnance Survey. Dated c.1830 in BLML 1967 catalogue: is pre-railway (1840), but includes National School. The town plan looks like a crude derivative from Phillips [Exeter 20784].
