Comments on map:
Dated 1820 in BLML 1967 catalogue, but a date of c.1830 seems more likely, as building development is more advanced than on Pigott Smith of 1825 [Exeter 20759], from which other details seem to be derived, and 'fifty years since' may refer to the Yeakell & Gardner map [Exeter 18472]; includes 'Hanover Terrace', but too far up the hill, and adds a reservoir nearby, also St Peters Church [1824]: cf the later Sleath/Saunders map [Exeter 20761]. Adds part of Hove, which is lacking on Pigott-Smith.
