Comments on map:
Style and high quality of draughtsmanship suggest that an OS-trained man may have been responsible. Most writing is upright Roman lower-case. Lee and Stevenson sign and date bottom right: they are not necessarily the draughtsmen. No indication of purpose: the distribution of spot-heights seems odd, and there are no large-scale sheetlines. The title cuts into some detail. Two scale bars, for feet and links. Land-use tends to be by annotation rather than symbol.
