Comments on map:
Advertising round map, but advertisers aren't indicated in situ. The whole of the back of the map is a letterpress description, in which a conventional description of history, churches, etc, is followed by a tour of the town in terms of which shops one passes. As an 'Advertorial' this would be hard to beat. Dated c.1900 by Wolverhampton Library. The scale and some of the lettering is very close to the Stephens & Mackintosh offering [Exeter 20516], and this may be a derivative therefrom.
