Comments on map:
Insets of Bilston and Wolverhampton, both apparently 1:9504 though scales are differently graduated, on 1:31,680 map of borough. Only author information visible is 'Dewhirst delt.', bottom right: the copy seen is very dirty, and something could be obscured. The main map presumably derives from the 'Dawson' boundary mapping; the two insets are problematic, though Wolverhampton is far too detailed to be derived from Wallis [Exeter 20480]: building morphology is quite detailed. Wolverhampton Archives dates it '1836', which is plausible (Grand Junction Railway appears: opened 1837). Only churches identified in Bilston.
