Surveyors' names supplied by Sandwell Archives staff; date from pencil note. Style similar to Tipton [Exeter 16752], but more colourful. Originally laid out in 71 sheets, but very early was extended to 96 sheets, by adding to NE, NW and S of the original NW-SE-numbered block. Apart from some neat additions of sewers in blue to a few sheets, there was no attempt at revision.
