[Map & cover:] 'Houlston's new large-scale plan of Bath and suburbs'.
Comments on map:
The cartography looks Bacon rather than Houlston, and is notable for the extensive use of stamped lettering, giving, outside the built-up part, an effect rather similar to Ordnance Survey 1:10,560 2nd edition. The TNA [PRO] copy bears a stamp 13 Jun 93. Hand-coloured: water, borough pink, parks and open spaces dark green, in usual Bacon style. The cover acknowledges OS derivation: the map dosen't.
