Undated: possibly about 1800. Shown fairly built-up, but comparison with Ordnance Survey 1:10,560 first edition suggests that some of this is fictious, and Moira Burgess, Johnstone & Elderslie (Renfrew District Council, 1992), p.6, refers to additional housing being fitted into back gardens. Calligraphy is more 18th than 19th century, and a date of 1800-1810 seems possible. (It includes the 'chapel', of 1796.)
