Comments on map:
'Worksop Gas Mains': follows streets, and buildings fronting on to them: tends not to go more than about 50 yards from the road except in the most built-up part. Sheets present: 1-8, 10, 11, 6a, 7a. Evidently derives from Board of Health map [Exeter 17237]. Apparently on tracing paper on stout linen, which has probably helped preservation. Some overlapping, e.g. Cross and Abbey Gateway (sheet 2) and Old Abbey (sheet 4) appear on both 2 and 4, and there are similar differences elsewhere.
