Divided into two parts, north and south of River Ryton. Hickson signs as surveyor to local board. General Board of Health stamps, 19 February 1856 (black) and 29 August 1857 (green) on south part; -April 18-- on north part. Some evidence of later additions, e.g. the sewage works and some buildings. 'Prescribed Scale of 10 feet to a Mile, or 44 Feet to an Inch.' No datum or list of abbreviations and conventions supplied.
