Comments on map:
An unusually late example of the extra-high-quality-large-scale type of the 1820s and 1830s. Considerable variety of lettering, sometimes aping Ordnance Survey, but sometimes going beyond, especially in the title. Nottinghamshire Archives date it 1862; BLML date it 1861-4. Includes table of levels at 15 places, reference to druidical remains found in the cemetery (including 'Private cell of Arch Druid'), table of comparative population in 1851 and 1861, and latitude and longitude, magnetic variation, and mean time.
