'Map of the parish of Tynemouth in Northumberland & Diocese of Durham. C. Charleton Vicar by Lieutt. T.W. Charleon R.N.'
Comments on map:
Only included on grounds of scale: street layout is sketchy, and roads run between settlements with diagramatic straightness. At bottom of maps are tables of statistics as to acreage, population of townships, distance from the church, and the church itself: 'The Parish Church is a stone building of modern structure[.] It is 114 feet from East to West 66 do. North to South Not including the Vestries [.] It contains 228 Pews and holds 1929 persons allowing each 18 inches.' Dating from Northumberland RO lists, but population is evidently 1801 or later.
