Comments on map:
Title sheet (huge coat of arms and lots of flourishes: decidedly refulgent), legend sheet, and 17 double-elephant sheets dated 1852 at 1:528 and 78 sheets of 'House Drainage' dated 1853 at 1:360, also 1:2640 index map. Notes accompanying photocopies say that contract was for 379:16s:0d, and surveyors were from Wolverhampton. Houses, etc, are numbered on 1:528, but the reference is elsewhere, and the numbering differs from that on the 1:360 plans. (Sewers and water pipes are possibly later additions to the 1:528; some buildings, e.g. grammar school on sheet 5 and buildings to west of gas works on sheet 6, certainly are.) Sheets are headed top centre variously 'Morpeth' or 'Bullers Green'.
