Comments on map:
Frontispiece to Volume I of William Richards, The History of Lynn... (Lynn: Whittingham, 2 vols, 1812). Compared with the Milne-Faden map of 1793-7 [Exeter 18233], the content is generally similar above high water, but a very few buildings and field boundaries have been added, and the outline of West Lynn church is somewhat different. 'Road from Wisbech' to the Ferry on Milne-Faden is 'Road from Crofs Key Wash' here. The most conspicuous difference is that this map has no indication of the proposed new works shown on Milne-Faden; and it dosen't have the hydrographic information in the river, either.
