Comments on map:
Sealed as First Class by General Board of Health, 21 August 1855. Two versions covered by this record: Y/TC 73/84 is in sheets, Y/TC 73/87 is a single combined map. Y/TC 73/84 has pasted to the title page a litho plan 'Town of Great Yarmouth. 1854', by Laing, with sheet lines added in manuscript. Y/TC 73/84 has various later neat additions, including two extra sheets. Y/TC 73/85 and /86 are two copies of the 1:2640 companion map, with similar title: they omit sanitary information, altitudes within the area mapped at 1:528, licensed premises and most of the industry, but include 1:528 sheet lines and numbers.
