Comments on map:
The BLML 1967 catalogue attributes publication to 'Sa. Speed' and dates it 1668. The map appears to have been adapted later (see the darker engraving) for the Dutch market: 'Voet Schale' has been added above scale, and item O in the reference to public buildings is 'de Voor gevel van een huys die gedacht Worden voor Cleyn Jarmuyen'. Careful attention is paid to plot and road widths in the staked-out area.
