Comments on map:
Recorded from photographic plate received BM [yellow] 14 Oct 1933. Map has Board of Ordnance stamp, and is clearly of their provenance, but it corresponds to nothing in the TNA [PRO] Maps and Plans catalogue of 1967. Assumed to be reduced to about 15 per cent of the original scale, on basis of size of lettering. A 'neutral' map, rather than one obviously prepared to illustrate a particular defence scheme.
