Comments on map:
The mapping is a straightforward derivative from Ordnance Survey 1:2500, but dating is problematic: the title is in a quite modern-looking Roman, yet the dress-styles in the vignettes suggest c.1880: perhaps they are old cuts reused. Stipple infill for buildings also argues a later rather than an earlier date.
