Comments on map:
Regent street and some adjoining sheets fully mapped; others as divisions; others as frontages only. A strange mix. Bottom right is a resolution of the Board of Land Tax, expressing thanks to their colleague, George Thompson, for undertaking the map, which suggests parochial purposes: does the unequal treatment correspond to areas felt to be in need of rating reassessment? The engraving is sophisticated.
