Map title:
'A topographical survey of the parish of Kensington: with plans and elevations of the Royal Palace, and gardens, Hide Park, and Knightsbridge.'
Comments on map:
Covers Holland Park, Kensington village, Knightsbridge and Hyde Park, rather than the whole parish. Text is in reference at bottom, with only numbers in situ. The whole effect is of a birds-eye wall-map for display, with pictorial traffic on roads and animals in parks, as well as pictorial buildings and land-use. As this copy, in uncropped sheets, is of clear black pulls on paper watermarked J. Whatman 1811, it rather seems that the map was not a best-seller.
