Comments on map:
Map is accompanied by 'Reference to the plan of the parish of Isleworth, Middlesex, surveyed in the years 1813 and 1814, and corrected in 1850, by W.T. Warren, Isleworth, Land Surveyor.' Brentford: M.A.Norbury, Post Office, 1850. In the Preface, William Thomas Warren refers to having lived there 'upwards of 30 Years'. Four page description of Isleworth precedes the list of subscribers, headed by the Duke and Dowager Duchess of Northumberland, and the Rt Hon Earl of Jersey: 74 subscribers in all. Reference has owner, 'Description' (which includes pasture and meadow) and quantity. Includes 1:2376 enlargements of Isleworth, Hounslow (so far as lies in Isleworth), and 'Brentford End'. 'Meeting House of the Society of Friends' seems to be written rather larger than it might be: significant?
