Comments on map:
Dated ? 1807 in London Metropolitan Archives catalogue, but bottom right it advertises Hornor's Kingston upon Thames [Exeter 21284]. Bottom left is an advertisement for Hornor's work generally, saying that this is a specimen, but this copy is an 'outline' printing, without the aquatint or any building, etc, infills (or overprints?), and looks conventional, but also very neat: engraving would not disgrace Ordnance Survey. The note bottom right says that the map is 'reduced from a large Drawing which is deposited in St James Church, Clerkenwell; the Survey of which was taken for several Parochial purposes.' Pickett engraved the plan and writing, Hassell was responsible for the aquatint [not present on this copy].
