Letterpress introduction says that took him two and a half years and follows on from a previous survey between London Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge; intended to lessen correspondence and provide immediate assessment of risk. 'In conclusion, it is fairly hoped, that by the general use of this Work, a system of correspondence may be established, which will materially LESSEN LABOUR,
