Date of 1855 is called into question by the omission of the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway lines out of Exchange station opened in 1848: but this is still omitted from 1855 version in BL, cf below. (Does include Albert Dock, opened 1846.) Letterpress index to streets in Mersey. Unexplained reference numbers on map suggest that it derives from something else.
