Comments on map:
Recorded from reduced photo of Usher Art Gallery, Lincoln, copy, in Ralph Hyde, A Prospect of Britain, London: Pavilion Books, 1994, 17): scale and dimensions compensated. Inset on SE prospect of Lincoln. Mapmaker not stated: on p.16 Ralph Hyde implies that employing a cartographer was not worth the bother, and so this Lincoln view remains unique amongst the Bucks' output in being equipped with a map. The map itself is not much more than an aid to locating the 50 buildings listed in the Reference, though the four postmills are concealed from view by the cathedral.
