Comments on map:
Recorded from copy of evidently redrawn late 19th century 'facsimile', which is described as 'Surveyed by James Legh 1824'. Looks reliable enough in content in default of anything better. Below 'Carriage Roads to the Shore.' is a note giving a very potted history and distances and conveyances. [This is by far the most revealing of the three early Southport maps, Exeter 20054-6.]
