Comments on map:
Little Houghton, Worsley, Swinton and Pendlebury: described as based on the township plan of Worsley, made by R.W. Barnes, 1853, and that of Pendlebury from Ordnance Survey, published 1848, both corrected by Barnes to 20 August 1867. Accompanied by Skeleton Plan of 1874 by Thos. Claridge, (110 x 84 cm, about 1 inch to 150 yards (1:5400), roads and buildings only). Fields numbered, no book of reference to hand. (Numbering of sheets makes it apparent that at least three are missing.)
