Comments on map:
Complete and in good condition: were it not thus, it might be taken to be a Stephens & Mackintosh production: it is certainly strikingly close, save only the screened red land-tinting, and the numbered advertisements not being represented by numbers on the map. The town map only occupies a small area: an equal area is occupied by a 1:63,360 district map. Dated 1896 by Margate Library, which seems about right, having regard to advertisements, typography, etc. [Does not show Baptist Chapel in Cecil Square, which is dated 1899.] Scale measured as about 7.6 inches to 1 mile: 1:8400 adopted.
