Comments on map:
Very good quality for a Bacon map. Accompanied by 80-page letterpress index. On p.7: 'This Plan of the Borough of Bournemouth has been prepared, at great cost, to meet the want of a Map large enough to give sufficient detail, but not too large for the use of Visitors who frequently want to consult such a Map out of doors.' To find house Ih8, finf I and h using squaring, and then it is 8 in the square.
