On p.512 of The Gentleman's Magazine, Vol XV (September 1745); evidently to illustrate 'Description of the City of Edinburgh' on pp 529-30, opening 'We imagine that a description of the city of Edinburgh will, at this time, be acceptable to many of our readers', presumably because of the Jacobite uprising. The map is a rough woodcut, only included here on grounds of scale, with letterpress reference below.
