Comments on map:
'Rotograph' copy by Office of Works, 1938, of original at Hatfield House. As much a birds eye view as a map, so scale is rather arbitary. The copy is at 70 per cent of original size, so scale and dimensions have been compensated. [In the introduction to the Roxburege Club reproduction (1971), it is dated mid 16th century.]
