Comments on map:
Looks at first sight very much like a photocopy from Ordnance Survey, but in fact is an independent production, with wholly sans-serif lettering, which is most successful. Top of map corresponds to Ordnance Survey 6-inch sheet 27, as does description of Battle of 1346, but some revision. (Fold down middle of BLML copy suggests that it may have been extracted from a book: this might explain the oddities of get-up and content.) Facsimile signature 'E. Roberts', bottom right. 'Surveyed up to 1865' by Ebdy.
