Comments on map:
Recorded from photocopy: location of original uncertain. Shows (unnamed) Croft branch from Stockton & Darlington Railway, but not main line northwards towards Durham. Town area damaged, and not especially detailed. Fields numbered with acreages. Except that it shows the built-up area of Darlington, it seems to be a copy of Anthony Reed's map of the township of 1829 (Darlington Local Studies Library U.418.a.40 L.C. [acc.33810, etc]).
