Comments on map:
In The official guide to the Great Western Railway, London, Cassell, 1897 [BM receipt 30 De 96 blue], p. 184. Only included on grounds of completeness. Apparently photo-engraved, possibly by Walker & Boutall: see Exeter 19026-9, e.g. Bottom left: 'The Official Guide to the Great Western Railway', bottom right: 'Cassell & Company, Limited, London'. Unlike the other maps in this book, this is a text illustation, with hatched buildings, and seems over-reduced, as though it was originally to have been at a larger scale and tipped-in.
