The Preface [p.5] says that the maps and plans have been newly engraved, but those of Exeter and Plymouth are from the same plates as used in 1879, and those of Torquay and Ilfracombe look photo-litho. Scale measured as 2.875 inches to 1 mile (1:22,038).
