Comments on map:
Scale of paces, in Latin: 1 inch to 70 paces, apparently of 2 feet 8 inches, i.e. 1:2240. Dated c.1650 in Bodleian card index. Well-penned, detailed depiction, though its complete realism might be questioned: lots of end-on-to-street gables. Buildings and streets numbered: no reference. Blank shield, top left.
