In Robert Rawlinson, Report to the General Board of Health on ... the town ... of Keswick..., London: HMSO, 1852. Houses and groups of buildings, etc, on the plan are numbered, and these connect to sanitary notes on pp 86-95 of the Report. e.g. 10 is owned by Edward Barron; is two private dwelling houses, with 1 pump and 1 privvy; remarks: 'The privvy is common to both tenements. Pump impregnated with gas.' (The gas was from a nearby gasworks.) There is also a 1:6336 of the whole township accompanying the report.
