Comments on map:
For the London Magazine, 1767; recorded from John Noorthouck, A new history of London, London: Baldwin, 1773, f.p. 549. The Noorthock maps are smaller-scale derivatives of those in Maitland [Exeter 18364, etc], and are much less 'refined'. Ralph Hyde attributes the engraving to Thomas Bowen, on the grounds of similarity to the Queenhithe and Vintry map [Exeter 18382].
