Dating of c.1850 from PRO/BTHR list: seems plausible in light of railway and dock development. The map is rather perversely orientated ESSW. Buildings which are probably 'industrial' on the north side of the Great Float are undescribed: in fact, street names apart, the whole map is rather short on text.
