Comments on map:
CUL copy noted in pencil as published in Les delices de la Grande Bretangne, & de l'Irlande, par J. Beeverell, Tome 1, Leide, 1707, 'see Lib.8.70.1'. 'Pag. 102', top right. Scale of 600 'pieds', which happens to read at about 0.5 inch to 440 feet. Style suggests it deriveas from Loggan. Text in reference in English. BL copy is on fol.C2 of Cantabrigia Illustrata, of het verheerlykt Cambridge, Amsterdam: Gerrit Tielenburg, n.d. [? 1730]. [Identification of Les Delices and Tielenburg made on basis of similarity of description and map size. If they are in fact from different plates, then the later is a very close copy.]
