Recorded from photograph of uncertain provenance. Dated c.1800 in library cards: might be a decade later. Top right is 'Plate XXII': on same plate is 'Map of a canal from the City of Glasgoiw through Paisley, to the Harbour of Ardrossan, on the West Coast of Ayrshire.' At least some of the building shown may be projected rather than real.
