Comments on map:
An impeccable pastiche of Ordnance Survey style, laid out as a continuation of Exeter 16725, (nominally involving double numbering, though sheets are only completed to township boundaries, thereby entailing some half-sheets). Apparently all sheets extant: some at least in two copies, with and without author (purple stamp) and date. The one thing missing is any altitude information. BBD 9/1/29/186 is an index, added in manuscript to a plan of Bradford borough of 1882. Sampled, using Allerton and Heaton sheets. A lot of the sheets would have been very open: cf Exeter 16670, 16673, 16676 and 16677, which derive from this survey. The map was clearly designed to fit together with Exeter 16725, but there are detail differences, e.g. the treatment of vegetation.
